Luxus, a rocking chair, made of fiber glass and filled with LED's and an accelerometer.
As you sit down and start rocking the chair the light starts to "move" like water, back and forth. The prototype is made for children and there are two things I particular like about it (well, actually three if you count that I think it looks stunning!). The first one being that it is a piece of furniture for children that could help create time for being alone taking it easy, and just calm down a bit. If you ask me there are far to many hysterical distractions around at the moment. The second thing is that it is an interactive artifact that has no learning curve to it. You sit down and rock the chair, as you would do with any rocking chair, but here the result is light appearing and embracing you as you sit there rocking. We've only added to the result, not the effort.
