About me:
My full name is Pontus Stalin and I was born in 1980. I live, work and evolve (or at least trying not to devolve) in Malmö, Sweden, where I spend most of my days together with Therese.
I am an interaction designer with a background in graphic design and music. As an interaction designer I am interested in trying to create artefacts and services that forces/helps people's senses to open up in known (and there for mundane) spaces as if they experienced them for the first time. More on that soon as I am working on a few concepts right now.
I also like writing creative code, solving problems and putting colors and shapes together.
When I am not sitting in front of a computer screen or swearing with a soldering iron in my hand I like playing football and video games (PES 6, Oblivion, Gears of War). I also enjoy tv shows (Studio 60 (don't cancel it, damn it!), Scrubs), books (Auster, Eggers, Safran Foer) and music (Electrelane, Unwound, Neil Young). I used to spend all my days making, playing and recording music. I haven't for a while but I feel the best is still to come. This year or in twenty years I don't know, but music will always play a big part in my life.
In a year or so I see myself working full time for someone, writing creative actionscript and developing grand concepts for demanding clients.
In ten years I see my self running my own business where I work closely with big companys helping them evolve and do the unexpected. Either that or I spend my days travelling after selling an amazing concept to google for a billion dollars.
About this site:
A collection of things I've done. I want all these pieces to, when looked upon as a whole, create a clear representation of me and what I'm all about. I put this site online hoping that it can bring me new opportunities that otherwise wouldn't present themselves to me.
